Race HQ

Race HQ is once again at Staplehurst Cricket & Tennis Club.  Ample parking and toilets are available on site.  For anyone arriving by train, race HQ is around 15 minutes walk from Staplehurst Railway Station.

HQ opens at 7am, where you will be able to collect your race number and safety pins.  Your timing chip is on the back of your number, please do not touch these, as this could result in your time not being accurately recorded.

Toilets

Toilets are situated within the clubhouse or 5 portaloos are available near the entry gate.

Baggage

Secure baggage is available behind the bar in the clubhouse.  Your baggage tag is on the bottom of your race number, please remove this and attach it to your bag before handing it in.

The Start

The race starts outside on the road.  A race briefing will take place at 8.55am within the grounds of the club, please ensure you attend the briefing.  The road outside the club will only be closed to traffic once the briefing is complete.  Please be aware that the road closure only lasts 15 minutes, so expect to see traffic on your return to the club.

The course

The course is a very simple P shape, that heads up to Frittenden before looping back.  As previously mentioned, for the first mile of the race, the road will be closed to traffic, but only for the first 15 minutes.  The race will be preceded by a lead car, complete with race clock, every turn is clearly signposted and we have plenty of marshals on the course, so there is absolutely no excuse for getting lost!

Water

There is a water station situated at half way and there will also be plenty of water available at the finish.

Medics

Medics will be situated out on the course and also at the finish, if you feel you are struggling and need a medic then please speak to your nearest marshal.

The finish

The finish is back in the Cricket Club.  On your return you will be directed down through the car park, around the clubhouse, onto the outfield and through the finish arch.  Once you have finished you will be handed a medal, please keep moving through the finish area.  Ample water and finish line goodies will be available.

Race Times

Once you have finished and recovered, feel free to visit us at the timing tent, this will be situated next to the finish line.  Here you will be able to collect a mini-print of your race time.  Race times will also be sent live-to-web, so will be available on our results site as soon as you cross the line.

Prize Giving

A prize giving will be held next to the timing tent as soon as everyone has finished.  With 5 year age categories, there can often be surprise winners, so I would recommend you stay around for the prize giving, it'd be a shame to miss out on your moment of glory!  There will also be male and female team prizes, as well as spot prizes.

Refreshments

Hot food will be available for sale and the clubs bar will also be open.

Most importantly we look forward to seeing you all on Sunday for a safe and enjoyable race.
